The new version of Rank Math is creating a bug with text fields when we try to create a new post on our site (https://mnnahro.org/). What happens is we create the post, add in our saved template, go to the text box to add the content for the post, open the text box and add our text in the body field using the visual tab within the text editor. Nothing shows up in the field and the body field shows a message that says there’s been an error and asks us if we want to report it.
We can add text in the text tab of the body field, but it doesn’t format correctly. We are unable to add text directly to the posts.
When we deactivate the latest version of Rank Math everything works as expected. It almost appears as if Rank Math is trying to interact with the text in the visual text field box. FYI – The site we’re having this issue with is integrated with Membership Works and The Events Calendar, including the Divi Events Calendar plugin. We are not having this problem on every site we operate that uses Divi and Rank Math.
Also, it would be nice to have a way to turn off the new Divi integration on the front end. We use Divi on lots of sites and adding the Rank Math button on the front end is going to make things more complicated than they need to be for some of our clients.
The ticket ‘New Divi Integration is breaking text fields Version 1.0.63’ is closed to new replies.
