New Category Page returning 404 error page

    I am seeing this error in the log when I am trying to open a new category page which has posts in it.
    It is returning to 404

    It is possible that one of your installed plugins is affecting the search query on the category pages. Would you mind letting us know whether you can reproduce this issue when you only have Rank Math activated on your site?

    We do have RankMath activated but since we were having issues with the sitemap, we have disabled the sitemap feature for now till death can find a solution and also because we are using Google News I wanted to check in with you about the feasibility to use Google News as well, we have setup Google News through RSS for now.

    How do we check which plugin is causing the issue?

    Thanks for getting back to us.

    We have plans to introduce Google News sitemaps but this is not very high on the priority list but we suggest that you install the following sitemap plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/

    To be able to isolate the culprit, please follow the steps outlined on this page: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    I did get a conflict from Google Sitemap plugin and I had disabled it to install RankMath.

    Even when Google Sitemap XML is disabled I am unable to generate Sitemap, should I delete it?
