Need help setting up RankMath

    Hi

    We just setup RankMath plugin on our website thebusinessrule.com . We are lookign forward to use the Pro version.

    Earlier we had Yoast so we will be removing it.

    Couple of queries:
    1: How can we reduce the number of columns from Posts page like SEO Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords
    2: Do we need to submit fresh sitemaps for google indexing or the earlier one’s will work
    3: We are unable to make payment for Pro version. We are using our GST details while making the payment but it is declining our international card.

    1: How can we reduce the number of columns from Posts page like SEO Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords

    You can simply uncheck the columns from the screen options of your post/page list.

    2: Do we need to submit fresh sitemaps for google indexing or the earlier one’s will work

    Please note that Rank Math generates your sitemap at /sitemap_index.xml. If it is already submitted on your Google Search Console then don’t have to resubmit it again. But if your current sitemap is on a different URL then you’ll have to submit the sitemap generated by Rank Math.

    However, if you connect your Google account with Rank Math, then it automatically submits your sitemap on your Google Search Console. For more details, you can check this guideline: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/

    3: We are unable to make payment for Pro version. We are using our GST details while making the payment but it is declining our international card.

    Please ensure that your payment method supports the following:

    – Payments in USD $
    – Supports subscription-based payments
    – You are not using a prepaid card
    – International payments are turned on
    – Your IP is not a Proxy, or you are using any VPN or hosting service

    You can also call your bank and ask what’s stopping the payment from going through and request them to approve it on your end.

    If the issue persists, or the methods above don’t resolve the issue, please send a screencast link to the sensitive data section. You can use a tool like loom to record what you see on your screen.

    Adding on my previous response, I tried through multiple international cards again and it resulted in the same fate. The payment page says card declined while same card is working on DigitalOcean and maky other platforms.

    We can’t access the screenshot you sent in the last reply. It’s also a possibility that error is caused by your current location vs the country your card/s are registered to but if the International payments are turned on, it shouldn’t cause any issue.

    Can you please share the last 4 digits of your card along with the last name you used while trying to make the purchase.

    You can share it in the sensitive data section, so no one else but our team can see it.

    It’s a screen recording which I have uploaded on this third party website. It should be accessible.

    I have added the last 4 digits of 2 cards i tried along with my full name in sensitive info. Also my and card location is same.

    Regarding the breadcrumb schema error, we checked your page with Google’s Rich Results Test tool and we can see the schema is getting valid without any issues:

    Unfortunately, auto-renewal subscription can’t be purchased in India, that is why you are getting errors when using credit cards.

    We are looking into the ways to provide manual renewal options in this case. Until then, pleas try using PayPal to purchase subscription.

    I was able to purchase the Premium version.
    Now how do I setup the premium part of plugin?

    If I download and re-install the plugin it will override all the settings which I have done so far right?

    Okay! I was able to activate it.

    I went ahead to submit the google news sitemap but it shows only 8 posts indexed in it while there should be more than 300. Why is this happening?

    It appears you have successfully uploaded and activated the Rank Math PRO plugin. To answer your other query about the status of your settings, uploading the Rank Math PRO plugin in addition to the FREE version will not override your prior settings.

    The discovered column only indicates the number of URLs Googlebot discovered using that particular sitemap, but it must have discovered others through other means should as internal links within the site. It wouldn’t have shown success if there was an issue with the sitemap.

    Please note that you are only to submit your main sitemap (sitemap_index.xml) as Googlebot is capable of accessing all other sub-sitemaps through it. Kindly remove all the sitemaps and only add the /sitemap_index.xml sitemap. You can refer to this KB: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/

    As a follow-up on this issue please note that only the posts published in the last 2 days are included in the News Sitemap as per Google’s News Sitemap Guidelines. That is the reason that number was detected.
