  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the page you have shared, and it seems that it is already set to index.

It is a pretty common mistake to open the page source and search for a noindex tag to see if the page is marked as noindex or not. In your case, you saw the mention of noindex and assumed that the page is set as noindex. The actual noindex tag is added like this:

    <meta robots="noindex">

But, the one you have shared refers to the No Index option that Rank Math offers in the admin menu bar.
    null

It is pretty easy to mistake the two especially if you do not have full knowledge of how the noindex tag works and how it is supposed to look like.

You can confirm the presence (or absence) of the actual robots noindex tag on this 3rd party website:

    https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer

And opening the page when you’re not logged in to your WordPress dashboard. You can also use incognito mode (Google Chrome), then check for the noindex tag.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you be having another version of the sitemap, as it could be that the GSC is seeing another version of your sitemap?

Noticed that the site has a site version with the http://www version and the non-www version. https://i.rankmath.com/E1bjZf

Please note that the sitemap only needs only one version of the site URL. You may want to use this guide to help resolve this: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/

Also after that, you may try to resubmit and request validation of the URL again. Test out the page within Google’s URL inspection tool. This tool provides information about the indexed version of a page along with any indexing issues.

Next, click test live URL. This will tell you if Google can now index your page. If everything looks good you can move on.

Once you feel confident with your changes you can go into the coverage report section and select validate fix. This will prompt Google to recrawl your pages. Once you start the validation they will notify you about the progress.

If this issue is not being caused by the link here it could generally be coming from the sitemap’s location kml if you have it on your sitemap. Ideally, all the sitemaps are set to noindex so that they don’t get indexed and appear in the search results.

We released a Beta update and removed x-robots from locations.kml file to avoid noindex warning in the Google Search Console.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if this works for you. We are looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I had checked your website and noted that it was a www version. Therefore your GSC could as well be seeing the non-www version. This is why we recommend that you perform a redirect of the non-www version to the www version.

You can achieve this by setting up a proper redirection through the .htaccess file to resolve this issue.

Here is a guide for your reference:
    https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/9770/38/how-to-use-htaccess-to-redirect-to-https-in-cpanel/

If you are not sure how to do it, you can get in touch with your web host.

Once done, remove all the sitemaps from the search console and submit the sitemap_index.xml in the search console.

    Looking forward to helping you.
