Hello Team RankMath, my site Clash-Guide is all pages, but none of the pages in my sitemap has all the images. Either allow pages to include images or plz explain how Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Post type > Image custom fields works in case of pages and not posts.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the unexpected delays and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please let us know if you are using some sort of page builder to construct your content?

For initial troubleshooting, please follow these steps:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    At cloudflare,
under Rule Setting, they are asking for the URL and the corresponding setting.
I have inserted https://clash-guide.com/sitemap_index.xml as url
and added a Cache Level setting of Bypass.
Will that do it? Because I don’t see any place/field where I can insert the code snippet provided by you under Rule Management at Cloudflare.

    Hello,

Please exclude this route in the Rule Settings of Cloudflare: *clash-guide.com/*sitemap*

This should exclude all the URLs containing the word “sitemap”.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

So, I added *clash-guide.com/*sitemap* as my URL with a cache level of bypass in the page rule tab of Cloudflare.
I also flushed the sitemap cache. I already excluded the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in caching plugin namely Cloudflare. Purged everything at Cloudflare.

What to do next to have all those images added to the page’s sitemap? Does RankMath only allow the posts to have images added in the sitemap, or can pages include images on their own? None of the above steps seem to be working. One of my pages in the sitemap shows 60+ images but the fact is there are hardly 10-11 images on the page. Whereas the majority of the pages are still showing 0 images. So, what’s going on with RankMath? Please provide us genuine solution.

    Hello,

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

There has to be a way that a site admin should be able to do it. My website stopped caching maybe because of your exclusion rule. Provide me with a straightforward solution.

    Hello,

The caching rule we provided only excludes the URLs that have the word sitemap in them. It would not have any effect on the rest of the URLs. You can reach out to the Cloudflare team to get a confirmation on this.

However, could you please confirm if you’re using a page builder or any other plugin to add the images? If yes, please let us know the name of the page builder/plugin that you’re using so that we can test it on our end.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I use Elementor and Elementor Pro.

    Hello,

I can check that images are being added to the sitemap for the pages that have them:

If there is a page with images and the sitemap is showing no image for it, please share the URL so we can check and assist you further.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
