  • Hello, thank you for reaching out with your query about checking and fixing multiple redirections in Rank Math to ensure you are following best SEO practices.

To check and fix multiple redirections in Rank Math, follow these steps:

    1. Perform a Self-Diagnosis:

      • Head over to the Redirections option inside Rank Math.
      • Check the list of all redirections created.
      • Ensure all redirections look correct.
      • Look out for blank redirections, identical source, and destination causing infinite loops, incorrectly formatted redirects, or redirects to unfamiliar locations.
      • If you notice any issues, try fixing them yourself.
    2. Check for Redirections Created with Rank Math:

      • Open the recently created redirection inside Rank Math.
      • Verify if you have configured multiple URLs in one redirect, causing multiple redirects.
      • Check all the redirections created since the error started to identify and fix problematic redirects.
    3. Check .htaccess (or) nginx.config File:

      • Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit .htaccess.
      • Delete any additional redirection rules causing issues.
      • Save changes and check if the redirection problems are resolved.

If after following these steps, the issue persists, please assign this ticket to a human agent for further assistance. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in resolving this matter.

    Hello,

Thanks for your documentation, actually i would appreciate to know a way to check for multiple redirection, would you have a tip for me ?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

You can use the Redirection Debugger tool to determine if there are multiple redirections on your URLs.

However, if you need to check your whole site for any URLs that contain multiple redirections or redirect chain, then we recommend using third-party site auditing tools like Ahrefs or Semrush.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply, i would actually help if RankMath can show in a way or another how many redirections are coming into chain. Displaying the number of chain redirection aside to each redirection could help in reducing the chains and making redirection more efficient.

How to you think possible it is ?

    Sebastien

    Hello,

Unfortunately, Rank Math does not have that feature to display the redirect chain for each redirection entry.

Having said that, we have noted your suggestion and will let you know if ever decide to add this feature to our plugin.
