Moved Site Old URL

#37200
  • I changed my host. When I initially changed my site it when to a temporary domain name. I also decided to change from www to non-www. My site is up and running now but RankMath is still showing a lot of the different URLs. I used Velvet Blue’s URL Updater. I also RankMath Database Tools to remove data.

Any idea how to fix this?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Would you happen to be using an optimization/caching plugin on your site. Please clear your website cache and then your browser cache. If that doesn’t work, please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

Hit the save button once without making any changes.

If that doesn’t work, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.

The table you have highlighted is actually for the Google Search Console data.

That data is pulled from your Google Search Console.
    https://search.google.com/search-console/about

So, unless the data is removed from your Search Console, the information will stay in the database unless you disable Search Console.

With that said, this is just old data that is lying around in your Search Console. When new data comes in, the old one will be pushed out of the Search Console.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I had to restore my database from a backup because my changes messed up my template. I started over and just re-saved pages and things have cleared up. I have two places in the OPTIONS table related to RankMath that still show the preview headers.

    rank-math-options-titles

I also was able to get rid of the www by doing the samething (re-saving) except for one entry in the OPTIONS table:

    rank_math_search_console_data

Can you advise the best way to change these. I do not use RankMath for my sitemap.

I figured out the www part. So I just need help with the

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can modify the current saved settings by heading over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta and Rank Math > General Settings and clicking save.

This will then update the current database settings.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I am only seeing the temporary domain in one place of the source code now. It appears it might be related to schema data in RankMath. Any idea on this?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I can suggest that you write custom SQL queries to update the data in your database.

Please take a look at the following article for more info on this: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011/09/interacting-with-the-wordpress-database/

    I hope this info helps.
