Month Archive Link Redirects to Homepage After Installing Plugin

    Hi!

On my blog page (https://ignatignatov.com/blog/) in the sidebar, I have the WordPress Archive widget. When I click on the link for the December 2020 archive it redirects me to my homepage instead of sending me to https://ignatignatov.com/blog/2020/12/.

When I deactivate the plugin the problem goes away and the archive link works as normal.

What might be causing the problem and do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thanks!

    Ignat

By deactivating the plugin I mean the Rank Math plugin. So when I deactivate Rank Math, the problem goes away and when I activate Rank Math again the problem reappears.

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

I tested the link (of December 2020) using https://httpstatus.io/ and it seems like a 301 redirection is applied on the link. Please enable the Debug Redirections option from your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections. https://i.rankmath.com/yIhqBH

When the Debug Redirections are enabled, then an interstitial window is displayed before the redirection actually happens and inside that window, you will be able to find which rule is causing the Redirection.

For more details, please refer to this tutorial guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/solving-redirection-issues-using-rank-math-seo/#redirection%20debug

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

Thanks for the reply! I enabled the Debug Redirections option but the interstitial window does not appear when I click on the link. It sends me directly to the homepage.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Your support on the WordPress Forum has helped fix the issue.

Here’s a link to the solution:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/month-archive-link-redirects-to-homepage-after-installing-plugin/

Turns out I had to enable Date Archives in: WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages > Date Archives
