  • Could you tell me the procedure to update my ‘Mobile Snapshot’? I have uploaded a logo but I wanted to ensure that I have done everything that I need to do.

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

We use a third party tool to generate the mobile snapshot on SEO analysis. They usually update their cache in every week or so on which your updated snapshot should reflect.

Given it’s about a week since you posted this, have you tried analyzing your site again? You can also share your site URL so we can check from our end too.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Hi, it’s still showing the other image from my homepage. The url is

Here is a screenshot of analysis from my end: which seems to be the same as what actually appears on your site:

If this is not what the analysis on your site is showing, please head to Rank math > Status & Tools > Database tools and Flush the SEO analysis data then head back to Rank math > SEO Analysis and Start Analysis on your site again.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,
Apologies for the delayed reply. I got caught up with Christmas orders. And I wanted leave a little time to see if the search engine would update. The screenshot that you sent was updated on my wordpress which is good.

However, before moving to Rankmath, Google wasn’t creating a snapshot of the site like the one it does now.
Apologies, I am not all that tech-savvy but could you tell me if there is anywhere to update somehow so that Google doesn’t try to make a square image out of the rectangle image at the top of my website(and cuts off the sides)? Is there a way to have Google use my logo instead?

Google picks an image based on the search and how relevant the image you are using is to the search term. Rank Math will add the featured image to the Schema but ultimately, it is up to Google if they want to honor the image or not.

There is no option in any SEO plugin to force Google to show a particular image in the SERPs.

    Ok thanks for your help.

    Glad that helped.

Please feel free to reach out to us again in case you need any other assistance.

    We are here to help.

    Thank you.
