Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Rank Math doesn’t change the alt in your files (so it is not displayed in Media). It changes it when the page is loaded, dynamically. We do it like that so you can change it (like you did) quickly and easily; and also to allow users to enable and disable the function without having to worry about going to Media and delete manually every ALT text.
