meta title not updating

    Hello,

    I am trying to update my page Meta titles and descriptions, but every time I try to publish these updates, my editor just endlessly says “saving”. The updates are never saved when I refresh the page either.

    I see that Rank Math has a troubleshooting article regarding theme conflicts: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    However, I do not feel comfortable making these troubleshooting steps as I do not want to make any mistakes that could jeopardize my active site.

    Could somebody from your team please take a look at what is going on and help me so that I can successfully update my site’s page meta data?

    Please check if you are using a Firewall, as it may prevent saving the changes.

    If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

    Whitelisting the route should fix the issue.

    Upon further investigation, I see that I have the default “Windows Defender Firewall” on my desktop computer.

    However, when I go try and whitelist your app, I have to browse files downloaded on my computer. Rankmath was never downloaded on my computer since it is a WordPress plugin.

    Therefor, I do not believe that this is the root cause of the issue. I would like to request further help with this issue.

    The route needs to be whitelisted on your website’s Firewall.

    You can get in touch with your web host and ask them to whitelist the route.
