Meta title –

    Rank Math free

Hi, I have Rank math installed on a website: kubicaccounting.ro
I have setup meta seo title for example to: expert contabil bucuresti – kubic accounting.
For whatever reason , in google search appears site title first: kubic accounting: expert contabil bucuresti.
I have the same problem with a different website with a differenttheme: restaurantbellapredeal.ro
Is something overwriting the seo title?
I contacted the theme builder and said the problem is not with them.

    Thank you,

    Adrian Iosif

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta title for your search keyword. Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

As Google has made some changes to its algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag, this happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:
    https://rankmath.com/google-update/google-title-rewrite-update/

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. But I don’t know what to say. The website is my property and the title should appear the way I want, isn’t that right? It looks ugly with those : after site name.

Are you 100% sure this is a google issue? This happens since June.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I’ve checked your website, and the correct meta title is already shown in the page’s source code.

You can also verify that using these tools:

Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better. In this case, the best you can do is optimize your meta title and description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
