    Hi, Support!

I hope you are doing well.

A few days ago, we realised that our search results were showing this in our meta descriptions:
    https://tuapppara.com/?s=instagram
¿Se ha caído Instagram? ¿No funciona hoy %currentday% de %currentmonth% de 2022? Te explicamos cómo solucionar TODOS los problemas si falla la red social.
In our meta description box we have:
¿Se ha caído Instagram? ¿No funciona hoy %currentday% de %currentmonth% de %currentyear%? Te explicamos cómo solucionar TODOS los problemas si falla la red social.

I have tried to find out why these vars are not showing up their proper values.

We would appreciate your knowledge because we can´t find out whether it comes from Rank Math or another plugin could be involved

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked the affected page and I can’t seem to find the issue where the variables aren’t showing their values. Please check my screenshots below:

If you are seeing it differently from your end, please share a screenshot. Also, please try clearing your website cache and allow Google to crawl your website again.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi, Jeremy

to reproduce it, this is what I do.

-I go to https://tuapppara.com/?s=instagram (or I go to https://tuapppara.com and then search for “instagram”)

When the results apprear for the very first moment, we can see the date properly.

Then, our infinity scroll plugin (Ajax-Load-More) loads and it shows results again.

This is the moment when we can see the %currentday% de %currentmonth% de 2022 message.

If meta descriptions are working properly every where but in this situation, could it be a problem from Ajax-Load-More plugin?

    Thanks, Jeremy

    Hello,

Thank you for sharing the specific steps. We are able to replicate the issue.

Could you please confirm if you are using your SEO meta description as your excerpt for the contents that are showing on the search page?

It is possible that the ajax loading feature or the “load more” feature isn’t processing our variable before it shows on the page.

You may need to contact your theme provider or the plugin that handles this feature and show them this example function to process our variable:

    echo RankMath\Helper::replace_vars("%currentday%");

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
