Meta description not being saved for product posts – WooCommerce

    Hello!

    My page is built in Divi: https://www.aquainvent.se/
    We have a product page listing all our products using WooCommerce.

    My problem is that I cannot change the meta description for products. Whenever I go to edit a post, change the meta description, then hit Update, the meta reverts back to it’s original form. It’s as if all changes are saved except the meta description in Rank Math.

    Changing the meta description works perfectly for other pages, which is using the new WordPress editor. Product posts, however, uses the old WordPress editor. Could there be an issue that Rank Math is not fully compatible with the old editor?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

    Rank Math is fully compatible with the Classic editor.

    I checked the updateMeta route on your website and it seems to be getting blocked by WordFence. Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/U3ixak

    Please follow this guide to whitelist the route and see if that fixes the issue:

    Hello Prabhat,

    I followed the guide 100%. Then I cleared the cache of WordPress and in my browser.

    Still the exact same problem.

    I then tried disabling Wordfence completely, then tried editing the meta data.

    Still the exact same problem.

    Any other suggestions?

    If the issue persists, please reach out to your web host and ensure that the updateMeta route /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta is not being blocked by any firewall/services.

    Then, clear the caches and see if that helps.
