Meta description is not working properly on article

    Hello,

    I have a problem with the META description. It works well with categories and pages but does not work with articles.

    Instead of presenting the content of the Meta description as for the pages and category, it shows:

    HTML code detected:
    <meta name = “description” content = “[icon type =”>

    Can you help me ? Thanks

    After research, it seems that it adds 2 <meta name=”description” content=” on article. How to remove the 1rst one to keep only the one after this <!– Search Engine Optimization by Rank Math – https://s.rankmath.com/home –>?

    Your site has a GeoIP security block which is preventing me from accessing the pages shared on the sensitive data section. Would you mind temporarily disabling this feature so that we can access the page and advise further?

    The description of this issue also suggests that there might be a third party plugin that is adding the second meta description on the page. Please perform the steps on this page to check if this is the case: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Hi,

    Thank you for the answer. I desactivated the GEOIP security block.

    I ran site health and found nothing. I checked the Betheme options and the “meta” options are disabled.

    I have no idea where it comes from but I ve lost a lot of ranking… 🙁

    you were right => it was a plugin named WP Write it up //// grrrr… a nightmare. I’ve lost 50% of my organic trafic since more than a month.
