    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I’m using rankmath on multiple sites. This one site is having issues that I can’t seem to figure out.

The issue is it is not displaying my meta description per post. It instead is grabbing info from the article and populating the description and that is different from what I entered.

    Thanks for your help!

    Bob

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You’ve shared very nice screenshots of the plugin settings except the SEO meta settings for the post in question which I was particularly interested in checking.

The following description is displayed on the page source:
    Meta description

Is this what you have configured on the Rank Math meta description settings for this post?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Oh sorry about that. I guess I left that out by accident. It is now added to the sensitive data.

But, yes that is what I have in the SEO meta setting per that article.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

If the metadescription in the page source is the same as what you have in your settings, the rest is to wait for google.

Google shows the description tag according to the search intent.

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

    ???

This doesn’t seem right. Why am I writing a description in rankmath that doesn’t get displayed on google.

It has been 4-6 months for the post and the rankmath plugin isn’t working for this any of them on my site. My other sites are fine.

So, thank you for trying to help with this issue. I will just uninstall and give yoast a go at it.

    Hi Bob,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I am sorry that Google does not seem to be detecting the meta description for this particular site. It is likely that changing the SEO plugin will not have an effect on this issue since the right meta description is displayed on the page source.

    Thank you.
