Lost Recipe Instructions

    I lost all of the how-to step instructions for my recipes in the last few weeks, possibly with a Rank Math update. They disappeared from my posts and when I go to edit my published posts, the posts don’t have the ability to update Rank Math schema settings.

    Sorry for the issue you are facing.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it could be due to a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using. You can test it and if you don’t find any conflict, we will be happy to check it for you.

    Please let us know if you find the culprit.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    I may try to troubleshoot, but it will take quite some time to do so. Please note that the issues occurred when the schema input changed to the current format.

    I am now unable to edit post schema in posts created before the update. This is incredibly inconvenient and a cause for concern, because I have to do a ton of double work if I want to edit any old posts.

    As an update, I entered troubleshooting mode and only activated RankMath to show my recipe schema on affected pages. The Recipe Instructions are still lost, but all of the other data (prep time, ingredients, etc.) are available.

    This indicates that it is RankMath causing the problem, and it appears that all of my recipe instructions that I have ever entered into the RankMath schema have been lost, or are simply not showing.

    Do you have any further instruction @Alberto? This is a big problem which will certainly affect Google SERP rankings negatively as well as take a large amount of time to re-do all of the work I put in since I initially chose to use RankMath.

    I tried to use the health check plugin to troubleshoot your site but it seems to have malfunctioned and disabled a number of your plugins. I activated them back and disabled the healthcheck plugin for now.

    Please update to the latest version of Rank math : v.1.0.49 and let us know if it resolves your issue. If it doesn’t, please create a staging test site and share the access in the sensitive section for us to dig deeper into this issue.
