    Usually around 500-1000 since more links in the same file could make Google to crawl it slowly (so it will get the new updates slower).

    Hello,

    You can have your settings at 500. This will make your sitemaps not too large and just a fair amount for Google to crawl easily.

    But I have a lot more pages.

    So will that mean those pages won’t get crawled and indexed?

    Hello,

    Sorry if we were not clear.

    This doesn’t men other pages won’t get indexed. It just means your sitemap files will be broken into individual posts sitemap files of 500 URLs each. In the case of 50k URLs, you will have about 100 post sitemap files named /post-sitemap1 to /post-sitemap100
