Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
Could you please confirm if you’re using any page builder? If yes, then could you please let us know which one?
In the meantime, could you please test for a potential plugin-theme conflict and see if any plugin or the theme you’re using is causing a conflict? Please disable all the plugins (except Rank Math) and activate a default theme and see if the link counter works. We have a great tutorial to help you along the way: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks.
Hi Azib,
Thanks for the reply.
If I install and apply a default theme using troubleshooting mode, is it 100% certain that the site will return to its previous state after I finish the troubleshooting process? It appears to be the theme and not a plugin conflict.
Because I’m not a developer and we don’t have an in-house developer, if I screw up the theme then I will create work for the client to fix it so I’m a little worried about that part.
Hello,
Yes, it should return to its previous state if you enable a theme through the troubleshooting process.
However, if you are concerned about this issue then I would recommend you to make a backup of your website before troubleshooting.
You can read more about WordPress website backup by following this link:

Hope that answers your question. Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Okay thanks. I can figure it out from here.
