Keyword disappears in category

    Hello,

    Adding a second keyword for a product category page or product tag page is not working. It disappears after adding it automatically. I have used the trouble shooting plugin that you recommend and the issue remains with all the plugins and themes disabled. Only Rank Math and Woocommerce was enabled.

    According to your article WordPress setup is the root of the problem. Can you inform me how I have to proceed with this issue to solve it?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    In one of our last versions (1.0.43) we added this change: “Allow only one Focus keyword in the Taxonomy pages(Category/Tag etc.), as there are no tests for the secondary keywords”, as you can read here: https://rankmath.com/changelog/.

    Thank you for your reply! So you mean it is not possible (any more) to add more than one keyword for taxonomy (Woocommerce) pages?

    Hello,

    Yes, right now it is not possible but you shouldn’t be worried since not adding the keyword there doesn’t affect your SEO in anything since it was used just for tests done by Rank Math (but not added in your page source code in any way).

    Since we don’t do those tests anymore (they are not necessary), we don’t need to confuse the user letting them add more keywords.

    Google will still able to rank for any keyword you have in your category page since Google ranks the pages by reading and understand the page content, not based on any Rank Math settings related to the keyword tests.
