JQuery Issue

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Our plugin doesn’t usually load any scripts, especially jQuery-dependent scripts.

Can you please share the affected URL here so we can take a closer look at the issue?

    Looking forward to helping you.

Ah, ok – this makes more sense.

    The URL is here: https://codehammerhead.thedev.ca/

RankMath is likely loading JQuery because of the additional accordion script from the knowledgebase. This code from this page is implemented on this website: https://rankmath.com/kb/turn-faq-block-into-accordion/

    This is resolved.

I enqueued a child theme.JS file and snagged the new JS file from Silvan Hagen’s GitHub here: https://gist.github.com/neverything/93546eabd9d7399ab80b2f12630cd695

Your content team should update the code and instructions for implementation #2 on this page: https://rankmath.com/kb/turn-faq-block-into-accordion/ – the current implementation will always create a JQuery error for users visiting a website that are not logged in.

We are glad that you managed to resolve the issue.

This usually occurs when your website is not able to load the jQuery. The other way to resolve this issue is by adding the Google jQuery CDN before the script tag on the filter.

However, thank you so much for sharing the other solutions and we’ll try to update our KB according to them.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
    Thank you.

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
