Why does my SEO score on RankMath remain unchanged at 54 and report errors that don’t exist? How can I resolve this situation?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.

Can you share some of those errors with us, you can use https://imgur.com/upload to share a screenshot of the issue.

From your description of the issue, it appears changes to your metadata might not be getting saved which is why the score doesn’t change. You can follow this guide to resolve issue with your metadata not being saved: https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/

Let us know how this goes. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
    thanks for the reply.

If I go to my wordpress site on “Articles”, there are the correct scores (Screenshot 1), although probably with some errors here too.

However, if I then enter the article (Screenshot 2 and Screenshot 3), the score is much lower (around 50), and the same errors are always reported (even when these errors are clearly not there).

Can you help me? What can I do? Because otherwise, having your plugin is not useful to me.

Here is the link where I uploaded the screenshots:https://imgur.com/a/g8J4PHy

    Thanks

    Hello,

We use the sensitive data section to collect information such us your website and FTP login details.

Are you using any page builders to add content to the posts? If yes, please let us know which one you are using.

To resolve this issue, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools.

Ensure that you have enabled advanced mode to see the Database Tools tab.

Then, click on the button “Recalculate Score”, and wait for it to process.

    calculate

After that, check the post list page and see if the SEO scores and other information are updated.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,
I had already clicked on Recalculate Score and if I go to the “Articles” section the scores are calculated correctly, but if I then enter the single article, the score always remains 52 (even if on the articles page it is, for example, 88), with the reporting errors incorrectly.

As far as page creation goes, I only use the “Storefront child” theme.

Do you need my FTP data and website login?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi,
I have entered the data you requested (login and ftp).
I have deactivated the “Duo Two-Factor Authentication” plugin to allow you to access my website.
Can you let me know once you’ve done everything so I can reactivate it?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Upon troubleshooting your site, we have discovered that the plugin named “Otter – Page Builder Blocks & Extensions for Gutenberg” is causing the issue here.

In this case, kindly contact the support folks from that plugin and ask if they have encountered this issue already. They may have a solution for it.

Our plugin relies on the Content Analysis API and if there’s a third-party custom block that is used for the content, our plugin will not be able to read this.

You may also share this API documentation with them to ensure full compatibility with Rank Math.

You can activate now the 2FA security on your site as well.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
