Issues setting up GA4

    I followed the instructions on RankMath to set up a Google Analytics 4 property for my new site, but it looks like Google Analytics isn’t receiving any data from the website.

    I choose the install analytics code option in General Settings > Analytics.

    Do I still need to install tags on my website for GA to receive the data?

    GA says that I need to install the tag from a plugin or to add the code with the tracking manually into my pages.

    Didn’t the rank math plugin already add my code to the website?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please note that for a newly created property, it will take a few hours to collect and display the initial data in Google Analytics. Rank Math will import that data from Google Analytics and makes it available on your Analytics dashboard on the next scheduled data import.

    Regarding the tags, since you have already enabled the Install Analytics code option, then you won’t need to add the tag using a different method.

    You can also confirm that by using Google’s tag assistance: https://tagassistant.google.com/
