But I’m afraid I did not get your suggestion… you gave me a snippet to disable the redirection, but I need to have it enabled, not disabled 🙂
Anyway, I’ve searched also on WPML side and it seems it’s known comaptibility issue:

It seems the issue can be fixed by NOT translating the category, product or product-category slugs. I’m gonna try it and let you know if it worked!

Sure, let us know how this goes.
The redirect helps to prevent 404 or redirect loop when translating the URLs, and the remove base option is enabled.
If it’s still not working, the feature to remove the category base will not work if the base is translated.
Please try removing the translations for the base on your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and check again the link.

Hi, the workaround worked 🙂
I’ve removed “product-category” base translation and now the category base is removed also for english (aka the secondary language).
So, my issue is fixed!
