Issue with posts and pages

  • We are having an issue on this client’s site: https://camelcityroofing.com. WP Engine support has looked into it and recommended we reach out to you as they believe the issues we are having are related to Rank Math.

Here is a Loom video showing the issues and a description of the issues below: https://www.loom.com/share/352d8756090a4205a471eff22d2e13f7?sid=8e5b72ff-4ee9-4553-8015-8864447fe1bc

When we try to access the Posts in the WordPress admin, the site goes to a critical error page. When we try to access the Pages in the admin, it only lists two pages, and there is a note also of a critical error.

On the front end of the site, when we try to view the (2) two most recent blog posts, the site goes to a critical error, however the other posts load.

    Please help!

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issues you are facing on your client’s site. Thank you for providing the detailed description and the Loom video showcasing the problems.

    Hello,

There were some issues in your database and not only related to our plugin. For example, even the data from WordPress about the edit locking was serialized when it should be a string.

The same situation was happening with some fields from a particular post from our plugin where the data was serialized when the plugin expected a string.

Now, there’s another issue being caused by the draft called Top Choice for Winston-Salem Roofing Contractors: The Camel City Roofing Advantage with the following message from another plugin:

Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: stripslashes(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given in /nas/content/live/camelcityroofi/wp-content/plugins/oh-add-script-header-footer/oh-add-script-header-footer.php:66

To correct that issue we recommend getting in touch with the support team of the plugin mentioned in the error and seeing what they have to say about it.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hi Miguel,

Thank you for the reply. We disabled the SOGO Add Script Header Footer plug-in which seemed to resolve the issue. But when our blog writer went to add a new blog post, she duplicated one of the existing ones and now we’re experiencing the issue again. When you go to Posts in the backend, or go to view the most recent blog post, the site throws a critical error screen.

Can you check again to see if there is something going on with RankMath and another plug-in?

    Hello,

We can’t seem to replicate it from our end. Please see the video screencast in the Sensitive data section.

Please clear your website caches and try checking the posts again.

If the issue persists, please share your website’s recent error logs so we can determine what’s causing the consistent issue.

You can follow this guide to enable debugging in WordPress
https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ or you can get in touch with your web host, they will help you locate the log file.

    Looking forward to helping you.
