RankMath has automatically submitted the sitemaps, so
1) should we re-submit then manually ? Formatting is done by RankMath only,
2) why/how we should ensure that they are formatted correctly ?

Regarding your questions, yes, you can remove/delete your sitemaps and resubmit them by following the steps in our guide.
You can disregard the formatting reply from our bot as Rank Math’s sitemap is indeed automatically generated.
