Is mass update your post possible?

    Rank Math free

    Hi there,

Just finished installing Rank Math on our newssite. I posted two new articles to try it out and it works great. But I am sad that all SEO scores of all other 10.545 posts are showing ‘Update your post’.

Just opening and saving a post without changing anything solves this and the post date and time stays the same, but as you can understand that this would be an huge effort to do that with over 10.500 posts.

I read something about this topic on your forum from over one year ago, that stated that this was ‘risky business’ (in my own words).

So I don’t need to chance anything on all posts at once, but would like to know if I can re-save them as it were in bulk. So no change to dates etc. occure. This would show the current scores of Rank Math. I can then decide wich posts need my attention.

Any insights and help are much appreciated!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
I am so sorry but there is no way to automate this.

We would not suggest automating that anyway.

Some of the tests only run when you load up a post. The score gets dave when you hit the update button. But, don’t just hit the update button without changing any content on your website. If you do this, Google will think you are trying to manipulate the date Google sometimes shows beside your search result ( https://i.rankmath.com/BiZDrV )

So, we recommend that you start with your most important posts, open then, make changes as per recommendations made by Google and then hit the update button.

I hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your swift reply. I don’t understand what just saving a post has to do with the date, because the post date and time don’t change in WordPress. Maybe you can clarify this some more. The screenshot did not help me. Sorry.

But, if I keep using Rank Math will the imported data from Yoast SEO still be visible for search engines?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Yes the imported data will still be visible, this issue only affects the Rank Math page score which is calculated when the post id updated.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply. I switched over to Rank Math definetly! All the extra SEO tools it provides, the 404 monitor and the redirections manager are such a great addition that I, as editor in chief of a country wide newssite, decide to bid Yoast farewell and go full in with Rank Math. I am very happy with the provided support (great job) and ofcourse the SEO results!

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.
