instant index Sitemap

    Rank Math free

I have tested many different xml map plugins. Your map doesn’t quite work when it comes to quick index additions.

By the way, post-sitemap1.xml, post-sitemap2.xml and post-sitemap3.xml are created

Further, when content is created on the site, new articles are added to post-sitemap1.xml and all the rest are shifted down where there is free space in sitemap3.xml. The map date is updated both in sitemap1.xml and in sitemap3.xml, but Google bypasses sitemap3.xml and not sitemap1.xml, which makes it difficult for instant indexing.

Can you explain this? Thank you! https://ibb.co/hfwLs62

  • Maybe this is due to the fact that the offset date in the sitemap3.xml is updated, although there are links with the old date? If so, what to do?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Rank Math automatically creates an additional sitemap like you have shared when your posts count exceeds the Links Per Sitemap you have set in Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General

    Links per sitemap

For example, you have 500 posts and set the links per sitemap to 200, your sitemaps will be:

    Yourdomain.com/post-sitemap1.xml – 1-200
    Yourdomain.com/post-sitemap2.xml – 201-400
    Yourdomain.com/post-sitemap3.xml – 401-500

In this case, you may need to lower your links per sitemap because the smaller the sitemap.xml URL count, the faster they are to crawl. I would recommend using the default which is 200 and monitor if that will fix this issue.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
