Indexing wp-content/uploads or not?

    wp-content/uploads should be indexed or not, and if the answer is not indexed, Are images URLs will be also not indexed in Google?
    My question because I found a lot of images paths files indexed in google because I allow wp-content/uploads, and I want to disallow this path to prevent google from indexing those paths and in the same time want Google to index my images.

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    You can leave it allowed to index for Google to read your image content.

    Rank math however does have an option to redirect attachments to their attached posts. You can enable this by heading to Rank math > Links

    This should redirect your image URLs and eventually keep them from indexing as pages on SERPs
