  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

To make your post categories pages to index, please make sure that the default robots meta tags are already set to index in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Categories
    Post Categories

To change the published post categories meta robots individually upon editing, make sure the Add SEO Meta Box is enabled.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

I am already done these settings but still the Categories is not being indexed.

    Now, What I Can Do

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

I’ve checked your sitemap for your categories category-sitemap.xml and seeing 5 results. Do you have other categories that are already indexed but not included here?

If so, please flush your sitemap cache by following these steps:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDt

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Then remove all the sitemaps you have submitted in your Google Search Console and resubmit your main sitemap only /sitemap_index.xml then give Google some time to recrawl your website.

If you have only 5 categories, I’ve tried checking your categories page’s source code to check if there’s really a noindex tag, but it seems that your website’s source code is not available to the public. Please see the attached screenshot in the sensitive data section.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your update.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section. Please also share the categories URL that are marked as noindex.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
