    Hello,

I have tested in a local installation with the One Signal plugin but I can’t find which could be causing the error.

Also, it doesn’t seem you added any image in the Sensitive Data section, could you check it? Maybe it can help us to find the error.

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hello,

It seems you are indexing the plugins folder in your wp-content folder. To fix it you could add the following line to the robots.txt file:
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/

    Looking forward to help you.

But robot. Txt file cannot be edited, how to edit it?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Please login to your site’s root folder via FTP and delete the static robots.txt file that exists on this directory and you will then be able to edit the robots file from Rank Math > General Settings > Edit robots.txt file.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

can i edit the root file itself?

    HI Shivam,

    Thanks for the follow up.

It is not recommended to have more than one robots.txt file and the static one might cause a conflict. You can however copy the contents of the one on your root folder and add the directives on the one created by Rank Math.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

when i entered into my root folder, there was no robots.txt file
so I created a new one over there with the recommended commands.
    will that work?
    I couldn’t find the static robots.txt file

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

This will also work but the issue suggests that there could be a permissions issue that was causing Rank Math unable to write to the root folder to create the virtual file.

Please reach out to your host about this so that they can fix the permissions and make it possible to edit the file from the admin UI.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

ok i will talk to then and get back to you.
