    Hello

The issue I am having is that I have removed pages from my sites which exist no more and I have use google search console to remove these pages but there still seem to display on google.
Any suggestion how I can remove these pages using rank math.
It is displaying a 404 error and google shows it as a search of testimonials, I have used a no index check under the rankmath. How long will this take in to effect for the page not to display on google or index.

  • Make your removal permanent
The Removals tool provides only a temporary removal of about six months. To remove content or a URL from Google search permanently:

Take one of the following actions to remove the page permanently:
Remove or update the content on your site (images, pages, directories) and make sure that your web server returns either a 404 (Not Found) or 410 (Gone) HTTP status code. Non-HTML files (like PDFs) should be completely removed from your server. (Learn more about HTTP status codes)
Block access to the content, for example by requiring a password.
Indicate that the page should not be indexed using the noindex meta tag. This is less secure than the other methods.
Do not use robots.txt as a blocking mechanism.
If you blocked the page before removing your content permanently (step 1), unblock and then reblock the page. This clears the page from the index, if it was recrawled after blocking.
View your temporary removal request history
You can see a history of all removal requests for this site filed with this tool for the past 6 months.

The history table includes the following information:

    URL
The URL requested. All www/non-www/http/https variations of the URL shown are also included in the request.
    Type
    The type of request issues:
Clear cached URL: A cache removal request
Temporarily remove URL: A temporary removal request
    Status
    The status of the request:
Processing request: The request is in progress.
Request denied: The request was denied, typically because there is another identical request already in force. See more possible reasons that a request can be denied.
Request canceled: You canceled the request.
Temporarily removed: The URL has been temporarily removed from Google Search results. You should make removal permanent or the page could appear again after about six months.
Removal expired: The URL removal request has expired, and the page is eligible to appear in Search results again unless you file another removal request.
Cleared: The cache clear request has completed.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please share the URL you have requested removal for? Please note that you can also add a disallow in your site robots.txt to ensure bots don’t get to crawl the URLs you don’t wish appearing in SERPs.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

When removing URLs that are already indexed, you should always add redirections for the URLs. If you want them removed completely, you can use a 410 redirection.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
