  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

To set your media files to noindex you can disable the option to redirect attachment and then head to Rank math > Titles & Meta > Attachments and set them to noindex.

You should also head to Rank math > Sitemap settings > General and disable the option to include images in your sitemap.

If you completely want your attachments not to crawled by bots you can add disallow for each of your media types in robots.txt

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

Please add the following to your robots.txt to prevent your images from being crawled:

    Disallow: *.jpg
    Disallow: *.jpeg
    Disallow: *.png
    Disallow: *.gif

It usually takes some time for any URLs added to indexing to be removed. If you urgently wish to remove your attachment URLs from indexing, you can submit removal request on your GSC.

    Hope that helps
