  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

If this fixes your issue, it is likely your sitemap is being cached on your site. Please exclude your sitemap URLs from being cached and clear your cache then repeat the resaving steps above.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

    Hi there,
This did not fix the issue. Both pages are still missing from the sitemap.

    Thank you,
    P

    Hello,

In that case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I tried accessing your site via wp-admin and wp-login but these don’t seem to work. Please share the access URLs so we can look into this. Also ensure the provided access is working and has admin rights so we may check this unhindered.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Those URLs are not part of the Sitemap because you have used a different Canonical URL than the page’s URL:
    https://i.rankmath.com/Aslw3N

If you are using a custom canonical URL in the advanced tab of Rank Math, we do not include that URL in the sitemap because there is no purpose of having a page without a self-canonical URL in the sitemap.

Please remove the canonical field and Rank Math will automatically add the URL to the sitemap.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I see exactly what we did wrong! Thank you very much.

Curious — Do we need to set the canonical for our pages, or will RankMath already establish canonicals for us? I typically wind up using the autogenerated URL anyway, so it would be great if I didn’t have to and could avoid this error in the future.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Rank Math autogenerates one using the permalink you set. It should be like that but if you want, check it and if your site has an issue with that, we will be more than happy to check it and help you.

    Looking forward to help you.

Our site is auto generating the canonical tags with RankMath! Thank you!
