    Hi,

Many of my site’s URLs are not submitted in sitemap although they are indexed. I’ve tried all the methods below:

    1) Removed all sitemaps, and re-added only the main one.

    2) Hit Save in Settings Permalink and Rankmath Sitemap meta.

    3) Waited for a week already for GSC to fix errors.

Also my new posts are indexed but not submitted in sitemap.

None of these methods seem to work.

    Please help me out.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting back.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing the details.

I checked and the issue was that your sitemap was being cached by the LiteSpeed cache plugin. I have excluded it from being cached.

You can check now your latest post about Batman Watches is include in the sitemap. I also tested with a test post and it worked. Please check and confirm if it’s working for you or not.

If everything works fine then you can remove your previously submitted sitemaps from the GSC and submit your main sitemap /sitemap_index.xml again and wait for Google to crawl your pages.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any furhter assistance.

Does this caching fix work for all such sites that have similar issues related to indexing? Also, is removing the main sitemap necessary?

I have another site where I believe I excluded sitemaps from being cached. But, these problems persist on that site. Could you have a look at that too please?

Edit: I can see that all the pages are now in my sitemap if I visit the URL directly. However, I checked my GSC, the pages are still being displayed as “indexed, not submitted in sitemap”.

I have removed the main sitemap and resubmitted it again. GSC is still displaying the same message. Do I have to wait for a while?

    Hello,

Excluding the sitemaps from caching will help in updating the sitemaps automatically when new posts/pages are published, having the posts in sitemaps help in indexing as the crawler can crawl the posts efficiently.

You need to remove the old sitemap_index.xml and submit it again.

Please note that it takes some time for Google to reflect the changes in the Search Console.

Also, indexed, not submitted in sitemap error suggests that the posts are already indexed but the crawler did not find them through the sitemap but through the internal links on your website.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
