Improving SEO Checks

    Rank Math free

I’ve noticed that rankmath is very strict on SEO checks and is constantly looking for exact match which is a weird and obsolete practice, instead of looking for loose match

    For example:

    KW: looking job
Title: Are you looking for job
Keyword is not in the title…

The main alternative (ol’Yoast), has been strict matching for ages, but ~1yr ago, they have switched to the more obvious alternative, loose matching

When people work with me, some of them don’t know every single SEO rule, and they try to follow strictly the SEO guidelines that the tool provides, so when Rankmath says: “You are not using the keyword in your title”
    The change it to

    Title: Are you looking job
    Which looks really weird…

    Are you conscious of this?

Am I missing some configuration option or feature that fits better on this scenario? Or RankMath can’t just yet simply take this into consideration for novelty?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is actually a known limitation that we have on our to do list. You can expect a more fine tuned algorithm in a future update that won’t be checking for an exact match or the keyword.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
