    Good day,

I installed rank math about a month ago, ran the import the other day and none of the data from Yoast has moved across. Please assist.

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I can check that all your posts and page already have a focus keyword, and manual SEO title and description set. It seems like the import from Yoast was successful:

If you are concerned about the SEO score then you will have to edit the post in order to run the tests on your content and generate an SEO score. Once the score shows up, click on the update button and it will start to show up in the post list view.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your update.

Thank you, my SEO specialist has advised that The site is still showing missing description tags and duplicate tags.
    Alt tags are also missing.

This is a dealership website so you are referring to posts which is not where our data is missing.

    Hello,

Can you please confirm for which post type the data is missing? I installed Yoast and checked, the data was the same for Car Brands and Brand Specials. Both Yoast and Rank Math doesn’t have any data for the Used Vehicles.

You can confirm that by activating Yoast along with Rank Math and check the data from both the plugins.

And for missing and duplicate tags, please share some affected URLs so we can check.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Thanks, I am waiting for my seo lady to advise on the urls affected and will come back to you as soon as she lets me know.

    Hello,

Please also ask her to check with Yoast and Rank Math active at the same time, to figure out if there is something missing in the imported data.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thanks.

Thanks Jaideep, I disabled Yoast and deleted it before I activated and imported the data for RankMath so I think this is where the issue comes in.

    Hello,

The data is imported from the database tables of Yoast. Even if you delete a plugin, the data stays in your database. Since the keywords and meta data for your post types have been imported, there seems to be no issue with the import.

    Looking forward to helping you.
