Importing articles with seo data from another blog

    Rank Math free

Hello, I’m setting up a blog for a big customer. He has a WP blog where he used Yoast and I want him to use Rank Math on the new blog.

Since the articles are about 100 or 200, I need to import all his articles with all his Yoast seo data so that I can convert all Yoast data to Rankmath in the new site.

    How can I do that?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math Support today.

Migrating from the Yoast SEO plugin is easier with Rank Math, and we ensure that your data gets migrated carefully so that you don’t lose anything in this process and don’t have to set up all meta tags for your posts once again from scratch.

Here is our detailed guide on this:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Sorry but maybe I didn’t explain myself well. I’ve been using RM for years and I’m well aware that it’s possible to import from Yoast but what I need to do is different.

I’m creating a new site to the client and I need to IMPORT the articles of his old site in the new site but I would like to import, if possible, also the Yoast data and not only articles and images.

The sites are DIFFERENT, two sites, not just one.

    Hello,

Thank you for sharing the additional information.

In this case, I would suggest you install the Rank Math plugin on the old site and from there head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import/Export and import your Yoast settings to Rank Math.

    Import Yoast Settings

Once done, again head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import/Export and export your new Rank Math settings.

Next, log in to your new WP site, and after installing Rank Math, you can go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import/Export and import your previous exported Rank Math settings.

However, please note that the import and export options for the SEO metadata only work in the PRO version of the plugin.

You can migrate that data from Yoast to Rank Math in the Free version but if you are trying to export the SEO metadata from one domain to another that is only available in the PRO version.

So in this case you would need to migrate from Yoast to Rank Math on website #1 and then export the SEO metadata from Website #1 to website #2.

In the Free version, the import/export options can only be used for the Rank Math settings.

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

Thanks, this is surely a good solution!
