    Hey,

    I use Justified Gallery to display images on my blog. Recently I realized that none of the images included in Justified galleries (essentially my whole site) aren’t being shown in Google Images. I understand that this might be something that needs to be addressed by the JG devs, but I have a few questions.

    I have images set to be included in my sitemap in the Rankmath settings.

    1) Does Rankmath include images in the sitemap?
    2) If so, what gallery plugins is it compatible with?

    I considered changing to Udrina’s sitemap simply because it includes images from most big gallery plugins. However, that would mean changing my gallery plugin anyway. I also love Rankmath and am happy using it – however images are very important on my site.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Yes Rank Math includes images in the sitemap, I have gone ahead and tested the Justified Gallery plugin on my local test site and the images are correctly added to the sitemap.
    Are you adding the gallery through a page builder?

    Hey,

    Thank you for looking into the issue.

    I am not using a page builder, I use the classic WordPress editor for all of my posts.

    Is it maybe because my sitemap is limited to 200?

    To follow this question, is there a downside to having a large sitemap?

    Hello Ethan,

    If you share your Sitemap link, we will be able to tell you if the images are included or not.

    There is no downside to having a large sitemap if your web server can handle it. Sometimes, large files might cause timeout errors due to server limitations and that’s why most people prefer splitting sitemaps into smaller files of 1000 URLs each.

    My sitemap is:

    https://www.seoulinspired.com//sitemap_index.xml

    It says that there are images included (such as 14 images in the https://www.seoulinspired.com/seoul-botanic-park/ post). However, when I search Google Images (even for relatively niche topics which I know I rank well for), none of my images other than the featured images show up.

    Thanks for the follow up.

    Yes I can see that the gallery images are correctly added to your sitemap. Please note that you need to optimize your images for them to be able to rank on Google. I have noted a number of issues in your images for instance, you are using the same naming structure for your images ie sitename_{numeric characters} which might be affecting your SEO.
