    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

    As we mentioned on the ticket you shared, when you enable the Image in Sitemap option via Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General > Images in Sitemaps – Rank Math will include your images beside each URL in your sitemap. This is all that’s required to have your images indexed.

    In the sitemap of the website you shared (https://www.messefotografie-abresch.de/), we can see that Rank Math is showing the number of images correctly:

    Suppose you are referring to the images on your portfolio page (https://www.messefotografie-abresch.de/messestand-fotografie/) not showing the correct number of images in the sitemap. In that case, that is because Rank Math only detects the images inserted inside the post_content, and it looks like some of the images on that page were inserted using a gallery plugin.

    If you have the custom field for the images, you can also include them in Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Posts > Image Custom Fields, this would help Rank Math detect the images.
