  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

You can avoid having image attachments opening in their own links by enabling the option to redirect attachments in Rank math > General Settings > Links
    img

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you, Michael.
I already have this set that way.
Does that mean that there really are no permalinks for my images?
    Then why are permalinks listed?
    Thanks!

    Hello,

Could you confirm the URL for your image library? The link you have sent seems to be your website’s homepage showing all the posts with image. If these are the images you are referring to, the permalinks you see are for the post itself.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

Well, when I tried the permalinks on the images they just take me to the home page. I think that is OK then, right?

Hi. I think this is an issue. My site speed is down and it is mainly from multiple page redirects. I have never seen this before.
So is each image supposed to have a permalink?
Can I set up Rankmath so they don’t have a permalink?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

Images can have its own full path (permalink)

It is up to you if you decide to have attachment redirects disabled or enabled.
This can be done from Rank Math > General Settings > Links > Redirect Attachment > Disable

If you feel that it is eating up your hosting resources whenever your images get redirected then you can disable it.

I hope this helps resolves your issue.
