Image ALT Attributes Showing as Missing in Site-wide SEO Analysis

    Hi,

    I have been trying to clean up my client’s SEO on their webpage using your SEO Analysis tool – great tool by the way, thank you!

    However, there are a couple of places where I cannot figure out how to fix the problem. Specifically the one I am struggling with now is image ALT attributes apparently missing on some of my images. I have gone through the entire site in each page editor and separately in the media Library and added Alt descriptions to everything, and yet there are still 5 images showing as missing alt attributes.

    Can you please help me figure out how to fix this problem? I have added my login credentials to the sensitive data so you can poke around in the back in if needed.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    If the Image Alt text is are missing from images within your post/page content – Rank Math can help you automate the process of adding them. Check the settings for that in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Images.

    ​If the alt text is missing from the images added using your theme, you will need to edit the PHP files for that. Please get in touch with your theme provider and they will be able to provide you with exact instructions on that.

    Unfortunately turning on the automation did not seem to fix the problem. I will contact my theme provider as advised.

    They were able to modify the theme and advised me to create a child theme to preserve the changes.

    And now my SEO Analysis says that all images have their alt text! Yay!
