    I’m getting an error,
“The page contains ‘noindex’ directive either in a meta tag or HTTP header. If you want this page to be indexed and appear in Bing search results, you must remove the tag or HTTP header from the page’

    1) I’ve checked the page robot file and in it “<meta name=”robots” content=”follow, index” index is enabled

    2) I also made sure “noIndex” is diabled in wordpress reading settings

    3) I’ve also implemented correct settings for RankMath but I’m still having this problem

Please please help me. I want to start creating blogposts but I’m holding back because of it

    My website url is https://petliness.com

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked your site and everything seems to be fine with it. There is no noindex tag in the meta tags and all other settings are also fine with the site. Please clear the cache of your site and resubmit the URLs to Bing and wait for them to crawl the URLs again.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

I cleared the cache of my wordpress website and the website url were indexed on google but on bing it still gives the same error, “Not indexed due to NOINDEX directive URL cannot appear on Bing”

    Hello,

The status will update after Bing crawls the website again.

As the website is indexed on Google, technically, there’s nothing blocking the site from getting indexed.

Please note that it is totally normal for new websites/pages to take time before they’re indexed on Bing. You can have a look at this documentation from Bing for a quick reference: https://www.bing.com/webmasters/help/why-is-my-site-not-in-the-index-2141dfab#:~:text=Your%20site%20is%20new%20and%20we%20haven%E2%80%99t%20discovered%20and%20crawled%20it%20yet%3A

I also checked the headers data and the noindex directive is not present there as well. As the noindex tags are not present, we suggest you give Bing some time to crawl the website and see if that helps.

If not, you can get in touch with Bing support as they would be able to give you specifics about the issues that are preventing the indexing of the website.

In addition, you can refer to the Webmaster guidelines and see if the website is violating any guidelines: https://www.bing.com/webmasters/help/webmaster-guidelines-30fba23a

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Thank you so much for your support.
