I’m getting loads of Error 404 URI from casino pages in the Rank Math Error 404

    Every day I empty the Error 404 monitor which seems to have lots or Error 404 listings (more than 50 per day).
    I am an ameteur with wordpress so please forgive my knowledge in this area but I can’t help but feel that this may be affecting my website ranking position in Google.
    The Error 404 URI listings seem to be from lots of casino sites – I have copied and pasted a few of this in the sensitive data below.

    Do I assume that my website has been hacked or is this something else?

    Your help would be really appreciated.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    From the report you have shared in 404 Monitor, it seems that they are just bots generating the 404s.

    In that case, you can exclude the URLs from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#exclude-paths

    If you are seeing random 404s that you know for a fact are incorrect – it is likely generated by a bot and can be safely ignored. You could also use a service like Cloudflare to block out access to bots so they do not use up your server resources.
