Identical Product URL shows 2x (1 with SEO Title, 1 with Page Title)

    Search Console is showing increase in “Product” Warnings beginning on the date of Rank Math installation (Rank Math showed compatible with my site). It went from 37 “valid with warnings” (brand, review, etc.) to 74 “valid with warnings.” If I click on one warning issue (brand for example), it shows the affected products but I noticed that there are 2 of the exact same URL for the same product: One has the SEO Title established when using Yoast, the other is the Product page Title.

    Product Page Title:
    My Product Name
    https://www.shopname.com/product/my-product-name

    SEO Title:
    Beautiful Product | Product Name | Shop Name
    https://www.shopname.com/product/my-product-name

    I do not understand what is happening. Is this normal or is it a concern? I migrated from Yoast Premium and Yoast WooCommerce.

    Google is showing a new sitemap submitted on 7/30/20 (I added Rank Math on 7/28).
    The sitemap shows 51 products.

    Also, The Rank Math SEO ANALYSIS shows:
    “Post Titles Missing Focus Keywords”
    There are 2 Pages, 34 Products published posts where the focus keyword does not appear in the post title.
    (But the focus keywords do appear in the SEO Titles, so confusing).

    Thanks so much for your assistance. I searched and could not find this same issue in the support history.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    On the product warnings, Rank Math takes the schema data from your product pages automatically and turns it into Schema-ready content. Likewise, the aggregateRating and review fields are taken from your actual product reviews that your buyers/customers leave on your products.

    If you don’t have any reviews yet, that is going to show up as a warning in the schema testing tool. That’s because Google will actually look for those fields.

    Please acquire some reviews and ratings to get rid of the aggregateRating and review warnings.

    You can fix the SKU and availability issue easily as well:

    To fix the brand warning, head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce and choose from any of the available fields to use as your product’s brands.

    Brand Value

    If you want to use a custom value for your Brands, you can do that by using the following code in your theme’s functions.php file:

    // Add Brand for Products.
    add_filter( 'rank_math/snippet/rich_snippet_product_entity', function( $entity ) {
    $entity['brand'] = 'Rank Math;
    return $entity;
    });

    Replace the “Rank Math” text with your actual brand name then run your website through the Structured Data Testing tool once again.

    On the issue with SEO analysis, please head over to Rank math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and flush the SEO analysis data, clear your site cache then head to Rank math > SEO analysis and analyze your site again.

    Could you please share screenshot of your other issues, you can upload them to https://imgur.com and also add some of the affected URLs so we can look into the issues further.

    Looking forward to helping you

    Hi Michael

    Thanks so much for your help. In RM, I set the brand through the “product tag” using my existing “product attribute” for brand and requested search console to re validate.

    I am not using a cache plugin. As a DIY it causes alot of extra code and confusion to files. I cleared the SEO Analysis in tools and then did it again for same report results.

    (I am very confused regarding your file/image upload options. I have not heard of any of them and they don’t seem to be “sensitive data” methods.)

    From Google Search Console:
    (Under the Valid with Warnings, and selecting any of the warnings, the products show twice as shown in this example)

    URL
    Item name
    Last crawled
    https://www.sewingtheabcs.com/product/classic-paperback-book-cover-4-mass-market/
    CLASSIC Paperback Book Cover, 4″ Mass Market

    When I run the Structured Data Tool and Rich Snippets Tool they both also show 2 products at the inspected URL: the SEO Title version of the product includes the “brand” now as pa-brand. The straight product title still showing warning for “brand” schema.

    I have the green light for Rich Snippets, but I don’t understand what is going on with the 2 versions of the product.

    I have not updated my Google Shopping feeds as I was not sure if the changes over to Rank Math would create any problems with my feed.

    For the Sitemap, here is some information. I do not know how to view the warnings.

    Rank Math, Search Console, Sitemaps:

    Path Last Downloaded Items Warnings Errors
    /page-sitemap.xml 2020-08-15 03:52:13 3 (0 indexed)
    1 0
    /product-sitemap.xml 2020-08-14 12:02:44 51 (0 indexed)
    images 329 (0 indexed)
    2 0
    /product_cat-sitemap.xml 2020-08-17 13:56:09 16 (0 indexed)
    1 0

    Google Search Console:
    shows 70 URLs discovered and crawled (diff dates)

    I hope this information can help you help me.
