    Hi,
I did some work on my woocommerce products yesterday and today. I did the two changes:
    – Added a word (sign) to the end of each product
    – Changed the permalink structure from http://www.website.com/poduct/productname%20to%20www.website.com/productname
My RankMath 404 error logs is showing the older URL http://www.website.com/poduct/productname as 404 errors, is this something that should pass in a couple days? Are the robots crawling through older information or is there something I need to fix this?

The URLs in the error log also don’t show the newly added (sign) word i added at the end of each of the products

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It is recommended to create a redirection from the old URL to the new one after this kind of modification. You can achieve this using the redirections module.
You can also set the plugin to automatically create the redirections via Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections > Auto Post Redirect

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. I don’t seem to have this. I did see a note that said “Please enable Redirections module” but can’t seem to find out how to enable the redirection module if that’s where i should be looking. Thanks

I just turned on the redirection option via the dashboard, the option is now available. I’ve checked the redirection option. Fingers crossed all is good now 🙂 will advise of any issues. Thanks
