It seems like you are trying to add the Schema to the categories. We don’t offer the shortcode option in the Schema generator for the taxonomies, it is only available for the posts. You will have to add the FAQs manually to the categories.

Could you confirm which code you copied? The FAQ Schema shortcode from another post/page?
If yes, as mentioned by my colleague, since we do not have the shortcode options in the taxonomies, you will have to create the FAQs manually. That is, you will have to create an FAQ section and write the question/answers manually on the category page.

Can you please further explain the issue in detail? Can you please confirm if you are trying to copy the actual JSON-LD code into your category content?
That tab is for schema code validation and copying it into your content will not work. This will require you to create the FAQ section on your category page manually.
