    I am getting this error “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.”
    kindly help me to fix it thanks

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your sitemap error, and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

    Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Remove all previously submitted sitemaps from your GSC account and resubmit your main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml) and wait for Google to crawl the sitemap again.

    If the above does not work, please may you share the sitemap URL so that we can check if the sitemap is being generated correctly.
