How to setup redirections when we use a different domain?

Hello there, our customer want to move her project from one domain to another. And we are very happy to have Rank Math helping us to use Redirections. But we do this the first time so we are not sure, how to setup.

The goal is to redirect all old domains https://olddomain.com/… to https://newdomain.com/…

Is this all possible to install in the new domain and using the redirects or do we have to install RankMath on the old domain and redirect it to the new domain?

And does RankMath also inform Search Enginges about it or do we have to make changes in the Google Search Console?

Hello,

Thank you for Rank Math support today.

Redirecting your homepage URL to another domain is not possible with Rank math redirections at the moment.

You will have to use a .htaccess redirect to make that happen:
https://www.whoishostingthis.com/resources/htaccess/

And does RankMath also inform Search Enginges about it or do we have to make changes in the Google Search Console?

After successfully moving your site and adding the redirects, you can inform the search engine via GSC. You may refer to this article guide:
