    Hello,

A few months ago I connected my website to the google search console. There was some demo content on my site. That time google automatically took or set up some of my demo content for my Homepage’s Meta Title and Description. Please check out the first screenshot for a better understanding below…

After that recently I have started using your plugin. And step by step I set up all the settings and the modules. I have written the Home, About us, and the Contacts page’s the meta title and the description contents. Please check out the second screenshot now…

Right now when I search my site on google search, it’s still showing the previous indexing meta title and the description. Why it’s not showing the new meta title and the description for my pages?

Please tell me how to fix it?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I checked the page source, the title and meta description is added correctly in the page source:
    metatitledescription

It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Yeah, I read the article and watched the video. That means there are several reasons that may happen the issue. But I couldn’t figure out the mine one! Would you please tell me the specific reason for my site?

You showed me the title and meta description on my page source. I really surprised, where is coming from? I didn’t write it. I checked my site on https://www.heymeta.com/ Even here shows the title and meta description that I wrote on your plugin.
Can you tell me please, how to change the title and meta description that shows on my page source?
I already added the HTML code that I got from heymeta.com to the header of my site.

    Hello,

When Google changes the meta description shown for the pages they don’t give away the exact reasons for that.

The only thing we can tell is that Google feels like your meta description is not appropriate for the user searches and as such changes it to something that the algorithm finds much more appropriate.

Regarding the description on your page source that is taken directly from the settings, you add in our plugin for each page or post.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
